Ride the River 2018
Welcome to the Ride the River 2018 tractor drive! On August 25, 2018 the Central Illinois Green Club is hosting the bi-annual RIDE THE RIVER event. The goal of this event is to raise funds to help support eight local FFA’s, (Central, Dwight, Herscher, Iroquois West, Manteno, Peotone, River Valley, and Tri Point) while providing tractor riders with an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Kankakee River Valley.
Our Goal in 2018 is to once again help ensure the continued growth for our local FFA Chapters. This year on August 25, 2018 we will present Ride The River 2018 to further this goal.
Rules of Ride The River 2018
Here are some specific details about this year’s ride. All tractor drivers must be licensed drivers, 16 years of age or older. Drivers must stay with their assigned group and must not pass other tractors. No wagons, flat beds, campers, or any other apparatus shall be pulled by tractors. Riders are permitted with a CIGC board approved seat. Tractors must be equipped with an SMV sign as per the laws of the State of Illinois. All tractors must travel at least 11 MPH. Under no circumstance is alcohol allowed.
Signing Up to Ride The River 2018
Signing up to Ride The River is easy. The registration fee is $75. Second riders or tractors that change drivers are an additional $25. Please make checks payable to the “CIGC”. This includes lunch and cap. Extra lunch tickets are $11. Please include with the registration fee. Mail check, proof of insurance, and registration form (Get Adobe Acrobat to view the PDF Form) to:

All entries must be in by Aug 15, 2018. This ride is limited to 150 tractors.
