Ride the River 2016

Welcome to the Ride the River 2016 tractor drive. Here are some specific details about this year’s ride.  All tractor drivers must be licensed drivers, 16 years of age or older.  Drivers must stay with their assigned group and must not pass other tractors.  No wagons, flat beds, campers, or any other apparatus shall be pulled by tractors.  Riders are permitted with a CIGC board approved seat. Tractors must be equipped with an SMV sign as per the laws of the State of Illinois.

Signing Up to Ride The River 2016

Signing up to Ride The River is easy. The registration fee is $50. Second riders or tractors that change drivers are an additional $25.  Please make checks payable to the “CIGC”.  This includes lunch and a commemorative cap.  Extra lunch tickets are $11 each.  Please include the fees for additional drivers and lunches with the registration fee.  Mail check, proof of insurance, and registration form (Get Adobe Acrobat to view the PDF Form) to:

Directions to Ride The River 2016

The ride will begin at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds: 213 W 4000 South Road Kankakee IL 60901

  • From I-57 Exit 308, South on Route 45/52: Travel one mile to the Kankakee County Fairgrounds. Watch for Ride the River Signs.
  • From Kankakee: On Route 45/52, approximately four miles south to the Kankakee County Fairgrounds.

Once you are at the Kankakee County Fairgrounds please follow the signs to truck and trailer parking.

Ride The River 2016 Additional Information

      • Please arrive with your tractor in good working condition
      • A slow moving vehicle (SMV) sign must be displayed
      • Those tractors equipped with shared or auxiliary seats must be approved by the Central Illinois Green Club Safety Committee. The decision of the Safety Committee is final.
      • Maps will be provided the day of the event for those who will be following our progress.
